The Plena Voice Alarm Router is a versatile expansion unit designed to add six zones and 12 input contacts to the Voice Alarm System. It integrates seamlessly with the built-in amplifier on the LBB 1990/00 Voice Alarm Controller and supports single or dual-channel operation with one or two amplifiers, allowing simultaneous calls and background music (BGM) to different zones.

Supports two Plena amplifiers for calls and BGM across six zones. Operates with a single amplifier for simplified systems. Multiple routers can share one amplifier, including the controller’s internal amplifier, with the flexibility to use any number of amplifiers depending on the routers used. The router includes relays to switch the power amplifier output to different loudspeaker groups. Each zone can be independently configured to:

• Call Channel: Activated by call stations, all-call microphones, or emergency triggers.
• BGM Channel: Selected from the front panel.
• Off: When no audio is required.

Each zone is equipped with volume override relay contacts to bypass local loudspeaker controls, ensuring priority messages are delivered at the required volume. Both three-wire and four-wire override schemes are supported, and a triggered input or call will activate the appropriate contacts. An overload-protected 24 VDC output powers external relays, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The router provides a headphone connector and LED meter for monitoring the master output channel or one of the input channels.

• LED Meter: Displays -20, -6, 0 dB, and power status.
• Fault Indicators: Eight system fault LEDs and 12 loudspeaker line fault LEDs.
• Zone Selection: Six EMG call-zone buttons with corresponding status LEDs, and six BGM zone buttons with status LEDs.
• Configuration: Includes two DIP switches and a unit ID rotary control.
• Power Management: Mains voltage selector, power switch, and mains socket.

12 loudspeaker outputs, two external amplifier outputs (XLR/balanced), six volume override outputs, power amp fault output, and 24 VDC power output. Two external amplifier inputs, 12 trigger inputs, and 24 VDC power input. Two system interlinks, RS-232 connector, two extra trigger outputs, and an earth connection screw.
