LBB 1965/00 Functions
Storage Capacity supports up to 12 messages stored in the internal 64Mbit EEPROM without requiring battery backup. Each message can have a variable length within the total available capacity. Utilizes standard WAV format with sample rates from 8 kHz to 24 kHz and 16-bit linear PCM. This ensures up to 500 seconds of CD-quality audio, offering superior playback compared to compressed formats like MP3 or ADPCM. Messages and configurations are uploaded via RS-232 from a PC, after which the unit operates independently.
Includes 12 contact closure trigger inputs, each configurable for up to four-message sequences, maximizing flexibility and storage efficiency. Trigger inputs are prioritized serially, with inputs 1-6 designated as high-priority and accessible only from the rear panel for safety. Inputs 7-12 can also be triggered via switches on the front panel. When paired with the six-zone LBB 1925/10 Plena System Pre-Amplifier, each trigger input can select a specific zone, communicated through an RS-232 connection.
Meets the LBB 1965/00 with IEC 60849 standard for emergency and evacuation message playback. Features microcontroller-based data integrity checks, a watchdog circuit, and pilot tone monitoring for D/A converter supervision. Monitors high-priority trigger inputs for short circuits or breaks. Includes a 24V battery backup with automatic fail-safe for uninterrupted operation during power failures. Failures trigger a red LED fault indicator and activate a fault output contact.
Loop-through functionality balanced XLR and unbalanced cinch inputs and outputs, allowing integration into existing audio setups. When no message is playing, the input signal passes through; during playback, the message output takes priority. Messages and settings can be uploaded from a PC, but trigger inputs 7-12 can be reconfigured directly via front-panel switches without requiring a PC. A headphone jack allows users to monitor message content conveniently.
